1. Where is Sunshine Hakuba Rental located? How can I get to your shop?

Our address is 3020-962 Hokujo, Hakuba Mura, Kita Azumi Gun, Nagano 〒399-9301.

We are located at the main street of Echoland, Hakuba (next to convenience store JAH JAH). 

2 minutes walking distance from Echoland Hakuba Base Camp bus stop.

 

Access

TRAIN

From Hakuba JR Station

by Hakuba shuttle bus outside the station and get off at “Echoland Hakuba Base Camp” stop.

 

BUS

From Airports (Narita / Haneda)

by highway bus and get off at “Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal”, then change to Hakuba shuttle bus and get off at “Echoland Hakuba Base Camp” stop.

From Tokyo (Shinjuku Station)

From Osaka (Umeda Hankyo Sanbangai Bus Station / Shin-Osaka Bus Station)

From Kyoto (Kyoto Station Hajicho Exit)

 

2. Can I pay with e-payments?

Yes, we accept various e-payment methods.

  6. Payme (For Hong Kong customers)

3. When can I pick up my rentals?

You can pick up your rentals from 7:30am to 11:30am, and return the rentals from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

4. Do you rent goggles and gloves?

Due to hygiene reasons we do not rent goggles and gloves. However we have a great range of accessories (including goggles, gloves, wrist guards, socks, protective wears) for in store purchases.

 

5. How can I get my rentals back to our accommodation?

Free pick-up and drop-off service will be provided for customers with spending more than ¥4,000. We will drive you and your equipment back to your accommodation.

 

6. Which areas do the free pick-up and drop-off service cover?

Free pick-up and drop-off service includes:

  1. Hakuba JR station & shop

  2. Below resorts & shop

  3. Below resorts & hotels or hostel in Hakuba (limited to Echoland, Happo, Misorano and Meitetsu areas)

 

Resorts include:

  1. Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort

  2. Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort

  3. Hakuba 47 Winter Sports Park

  4. Hakuba Happo-One Snow Resort

  5. Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort

 

7. Are helmets included in the ski / snowboard rental packages?

Helmets, jackets and pants are all additional items and need to be booked separately.

 

8. Do the jacket and pants come as a set?

Yes, you may rent as a set or separately. Please refer to our detail price list. 

 

9. Can I get me rentals delivered to me?

Although we have collected your sizing details, we do not deliver rentals. It is essential to fit the equipment and gears in store to ensure you can get the right rentals here.

 

10. Can I change my rentals if they do not fit me?

Sure. If you have trouble with your boots size and length of the skis or snowboard, come into the store and we can change for a better fit.

 

11. Is there insurance on the rentals?

You will need to buy insurance for injury by yourself.

 

12. Can I take my rentals to another resort?

Yes, you can take the rentals to resorts within Hakuba. Free pick-up and drop-off service will be provided for customers with spending more than ¥4,000. 

 

13. What is the difference between beginner and standard rental set?

Standard rental set are suitable for those with higher demand for the quality and standard of skis, snowboards and boots.

 

14. Can I upgrade or downgrade my rental plan?

Yes, you may change your plan upon arrival.

 

15. Can I swap from skis to snowboard or vice versa during my rental period?

Yes, skis and snowboard can be swapped unlimited time during the rental period.

16. What sizes do ski and snowboard boots come in?

We provide ski boots from 16cm (kids) to 32 (adults) and snowboard boots from 16cm (kids) to 30.5cm (adults).

 

17. What length do skis and snowboard come in?

We provide skis from 76cm (kids) to 190cm (adults) and snowboards from 108cm (kids) to 163cm (adults).

18. How can I cancel my reservation?

Free cancellation can be made 7 days before your reservation.

First day rental fee will be charged for cancellation thereafter.

19. How to count the days if there is night ski?

As long as you return the rental set before 9am next day, it will still only count as one day, we will charge one day more if return after 9am. You can also choose to leave the rental set in your accommodation and request us to pick up, it will cost ¥500 extra.

 

20. Can I reschedule or cancel my private ski/snowboard lesson?

We will check the availability of the coach and ask for 100% payment. Confirmation will be sent after payment received. No refund for cancellation afterwards. For rescheduling of the lesson, it depends on the availability of the coach.  If Ski resort is not open due to weather conditions, we will refund the full amount after deducting ¥5,000 handling fee.
